Personality Profile: Marc Tatarcuk (Sales)
Marc and his family

Marc Tatarcuk is one of Triserv’s newest team members, having joined in February 2021. His goal is to create and drive new client relationships for the company. He’s been in the real estate industry for 18 years, having started in residential lending. He went on to lead a mortgage broker business, then held roles heading up residential lending for a bank, leading a nationwide sales team for another AMC, and leading commercial lending for a credit union. Marc has now found a home with us here at Triserv, where he can use his diverse background to help our current and future partners.

When asked about the best part of his job, Marc says, “I enjoy building new relationships. What gets me out of bed in the morning is starting conversations and truly learning about other people’s businesses. I love working with lenders because they are all selling money. Seeing how banks, credit unions and independent mortgage bankers find ways to be unique while essentially offering many of the same products, is always interesting to me. The better I understand what makes each business different, the better Triserv can serve them.”

What keeps Marc up at night? “Changing markets, changing dynamics, and how to stay in front of it all, if possible. During my insomnia nights, what I’m thinking about are challenges on the horizon and how I can help my lender colleagues survive and thrive,” he states.

Marc has been married for 14 years, and his wife has been in the mortgage industry for 21 years. He laughs that “it’s a ‘feast or famine’ home - we ride the real estate wave together!” They have two sons who are 9 and 12, whose lives revolve around school and sports. The family lives in the metro Detroit area.

Outside of work, Marc golfs as often as he can. His family has a house on the Au Sable River in Michigan, where they love to kayak frequently. He and his wife also enjoy traveling to visit wineries in different parts of the country, including the vibrant wine industry in their home state of Michigan.

And how do you pronounce Marc Tatarcuk’s last name? “tuh-TAR-zik.” The family name used to have a “z” in it until Marc’s grandfather served during WWII. The name was too long to fit on his dog tags, so the military took the liberty of removing the “z” and the change has stuck to this day.
